OverDrive provides eBooks, audiobooks & more for almost every device available. To access this service please have your library card ready to log in and click on the access link below. If this is your first time please click on Instructions to view a first time users' guide.

Downloading Books from Sterling Municipal Library:

Website: http://www.baytownlibrary.org

  • Click on Digital Media tab on the main menu.
  • Select Overdrive E-Books Access button. Overdrive is a vendor that provides digital downloadable content to libraries.
  • Search the online collection and follow the onscreen directions to check out and download your eBooks.

If you are new to downloading books from the library, be sure to take the  Digital Media Guided Tour.

Downloading Material That Is Already Checked Out

  • Go to Overdrive as described above
  • Click “Log In” at the top right of the screen
  • Choose “Sterling Municipal Library” as your library, and type in your Library Card Number
  • Click “Account” – your checked out titles are listed there
  • Click “Download”

Picking Up your Digital Holds

  • Receive an email stating that your hold is ready
  • Go to Overdrive as described above
  • Click “Log In” at the top right of the screen
  • Choose “Sterling Municipal Library” as your library, and type in your Library Card Number
  • Click “My Holds” – the titles you are waiting for are listed there
  • Download the title that is ready for you
