Get a Library Card
- Apply in person at Sterling Municipal Library
- First card is free
- Anyone is eligible with a government-issued picture ID that includes date of birth
- You don't need to live in Baytown
- You are responsible for all materials checked out with your card
- Under 18? A parent or guardian can bring in their ID and sign for the account
- Has your card expired?
- Cards expire every three years.
- Contact library services 281 427-7331 x2 or let us know when you visit.
- How much can you check out?
- 12 items at first
- 25 items once established (check out 15 items, AND after 3 months)
- Lost the card?
- Report it right away
- Replacement cards are $1.00 or check out with your ID
- Owe a late fee?
- You can still check out unless fines exceed $10.00
- Once total owed is less than $10.00, you can check out again.
- Fee says "Library Charge" in My Account? Contact the library for the title.
- Digital-only cards are available for Baytown residents - apply here
